You may need to feed your bees if you have a new swarm or at the end of the winter if you think their stores may be insufficient.

Make up a sugar syrup of 1lb granulated sugar to 1 pint of water.  Dissolve the sugar and allow to cool, then pour into the tray supplied.  The bee landing strips will float on the syrup.

Some beekeepers prefer to use candy.
