                      Warre Beehives - A more natural and sustainable way to keep bees

This photo was taken in July 2010 and shows the inside of the first box in my Warre hive.  The hive was populated with a swarm in the late summer of 2009 and over-wintered well.  

I added a second box in late spring 2010 and have now added a third box.  I'm hoping that later this summer I can remove the top box and extract the honey.
